  In commercial we replace compressors all day , but in residential if a compressor is bad , automatically try to sell you a whole new system 😂<br><br>Keep grinding homie ! And doing honest work ! 💪🏽💯

  Always use nitrogen. &nbsp;Pro or not.<br>You should light the acetylene first and then turn on the oxygen (not nitrogen as you stated). &nbsp;This will help prevent flashbacks.<br>I have seen and worked on many king valves. &nbsp;I have never seen on on a residential HVAC. &nbsp;They use service valves.<br>A good way to break strands in the capacitor wires is to pull on the wires themselves like you did. &nbsp;Use pliers and pull on the connector.<br>You are confusing pounds and fractions with pounds and ounces.<br>Due to R-410A&apos;s refrigerant glide, bubbles are normal in sight glasses.

  The problem with the HVAC industry is finding a trustworthy company to diagnose the real problem with the unit. If a home owner calls it&apos;s more profitable for the company to sell a unit than waste time with diagnosing and fixing your problem. Usually using the units age as the basis.

  I personally do Not recommend replacing a compressor on a residential unit if is not under warranty. &nbsp;It is simply not worth the cost. &nbsp;A new will come with 10yr warranty on all of the parts in the AC condenser. &nbsp;A compressor change out is only warrantied for 1 yr and is about 1/2 to 2/3’s the cost. &nbsp; On a burnout, I recommend flushing the system too. &nbsp; It’s usually better to replace the refrigerant anyway, along with all new electrical components; Contactor, capacitor, hard start, filter drier, ect. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <br>( Out of Warranty, Replace the unit!! ) &nbsp; Some brands have lifetime compressor warranties or full unit replacement warranties for damaged compressors. &nbsp; Another thing home owners might want to look at is 10yr labor warranty, as the parts are covered by most brands, but Not the labor. &nbsp;BUT NO brand warranties refrigerant, so, that will always cost. <br><br>My other opinion is Do Not DIY, most warranties are given if done by Licensed Professionals, not a handyman or DIY’er. Don’t void your warranty, Even on the new compressor.
