Why are you leaving the rhythm for the end of the lesson preview? Maybe it's because without rhythm, none of the harmonic/ melodic material sounds like music? Not a jab, just a plea to put rhythm in the mix earlier. The reason the fundamentals don't sound musical is because we leave rhythm out of the equation. Language sounds great because the rhythms glue it all together. Rhythm organizes our fundamentals and transforms them all into music.
