  it baffles me that half of the comments talk about how they should listen to this on drugs when the song is dedicated to a person who ruined his life with drugs. the irony is too strong

  I lay here listening to the song. It brings me back to when my son, at 7 years old, fighting for his life the second time. Cancer. All he wanted to listen to was Pink Floyd, Beatles, and Neil Young. He would be so high from the morphine. I lost him years later to a fentanyl over dose. He layed in his tent for 3 days as the world walked by him. The only thing i could hope for is, he got to hear Floyd on his way out. I miss you, Ryan, you were worthy of a good life. Peace be the journey, son. I&apos;ll see you on the dark side of the moon.

  Reminds me of my little brother. I felt Pink Floyd wrote and sang this about him. His name Was Kevin &quot;Kaveman&quot; in some circles. He was a diamond. He passed away from cancer a few years back. Everytime I hear the song I think of him. Its a good memory. Thanks for sharing.
