"If you’re planning a trip soon, baseline prices for food, beers, and beach chairs here in Kuta are virtually identical to neighbouring Legian. To protect your time, I didn't want to repeat all those numbers in this guide, so make sure to check out my full breakdown of those costs in the Legian Guide here: https://youtu.be/dNa3JaGtCkY
For the surfers out there—what did you think of the 35-year board cover master in Benesari? Let me know in the replies below!"
(P.S. If you're heading over soon and need a cheap way to spend AUD without bank fees, this is the card I use to lock in the best exchange rate: https://wise.com/invite/dic/scottj584

Evidently it's because they extended the runways on the airport it changed the currents. We've been coming to Bali since 1990 and the place is totally different. But we still come to visit, just change location. Avoid like plague Changuu and anywhere influences are. (Wayne)

The Poppies lanes were the beating heart of Kuta for me. Nothing to go back to now. The restaurants look nice though.

Love your videos but highly suggest you buy a selfie stick, would be great to see more of the background on your walks.

I stayed down Poppies recently, at the Arthawan Hotel, 70 000IDR per night, very reminiscent of the 80s and 90s, it was like stepping back in time :) Broken, but not dead. Nice.

It's such a shame that Kuta Beach has changed so much. It used to be beautiful with great surf. I have been going there for 30 years, Sanur is my place of choice now, but I still visit Kuta when I can. I really feel for the locals trying to make a living on the beach

Great video mate. The new hotel in Poppies is an absolute monster. I can't figure out how they are going to get large quantities of tourists in and out of it. Poppies is way to small and the back entrance near Kuta townhouses isn't much better. Do yourself a favour mate. There is a restaurant in Kuta Square called "The Naked Tiger' a young bloke named Will owns it and food is amazing !
