To my mind, the line engraved stamps are truly works of art! ❤

A great reference video! You really made this easier for all of us that sometimes just groan at
all the variances. This past Sunday, a new collector won our club auction for a Penny Black. She was
thrilled to buy the first stamp ever :)

Wow. Another great episode that shows your patience, diligence, acknowledgement of your fiscal limitations! We all have to address our own tolerances for these matters. Thank you. I also appreciate your great use of transitions to help keep us oriented and focused.

Hi Ken. I am about to sort my Victorian stamps and this video has provided a lot of "clarity" for me. A really valuable effort that will save me many hours. Keep up the excellent work.

Hi Ken, I must say I was very impressed, even if I did commented on the word copy, Your video was so informative. I have a penny Black, a 2 Penny Blue and the Penny Red. In various issues but selective, Choices .My passion is Collecting King George vi and Queen Elizabeth II including their Commonwealth stamps which are so beautiful in designs. Worth taking a look at. Very best wishes. Roger🇬🇧🇫🇴

This video is right up my alley, as I am an avid collector of Victorias. I'm sure I will refer to it again and again over the years. It made me aware of some subtle differences in stamps I already have, for sure. I must admit that my two least favourite Victorias are the penny black and penny red, so I have only a few copies and mostly ignore them (hence I skipped a lot of the first part of this video). I'm not the kind of stamp collector who gets into the minutia of the reds and blacks. I do love the tuppenny blues, but do not go out of my way to collect them; if they fall into my lap, so to speak, I keep the nicer copies. I do have a tuppenny blue Ivory Head (CV $100) which came my way in an old Lincoln stamp album from the UK. Like you, I'm fortunate to have a nice used copy of the green one shilling with small corner letters (SG 90), w/socked on the nose cancel. I also have a rare version of the four pence (plate 16, Scott #70). Of the 6 pence, I have the second hexagonal issue. Oddly, I have many fewer GB Victorias than I have Victorias from other parts of the Commonwealth; for example, I have almost a full set of Ceylon issues (most of them mint), a large number of Straits Settlements, Jamaica, Trinidad, Tobago, St Vincent, and many other countries. I collect Victorias primarily for their delicate beauty of design plus relative rarity. I prefer mint copies unless I can get really interesting or unusual postmarks because, again, I appreciate the beauty of the stamp not obscured by postmark. I will save heavily cancelled rarities that come my way through albums or in lots, but alway hope to eventually replace them, and do not spend money on them specifically.

Love the video, Ken, despite the length. It’s very informative, as all of your videos are, and I know this video will be invaluable to me when I eventually start my GB album pages (right now, I’m concentrating on creating my Canada albums). Thanks so much for the incredible research you put into your videos…it really shows! 😊

Fantastic video. GB Victorian stamps are all I collect and the video tried to explain the evolution of the stamps with excellent graphics. Well done.
