  This was the first Marvel Comic crossover event &amp; it was basically created to sell an action figure line.. but when I read it when it was first released in 84 I had no idea about any of that...I just loved the idea of pretty much EVERYONE appearing in one 12 issue Limited Series..<br>I believe that Secret Wars was also the first Marvel Comics Limited Series as well..

  &apos;Deep under millions of tons of rock, the Hulk is holding up a mountain, and he ..is..PISSED.&apos; The way the comic started where Hulk is holding the mountain above the hero&apos;s and is screaming in rage to do it. Super awesome panel and line.

  Secret Wars was a clear toy ad but was still a fun story. &nbsp;I think the Crisis was better overall but it also had a ton more going on, being a celebration of the entire DCU at the time so included pretty much everything no matter how obscure, but Secret Wars is still a classic. &nbsp;Now the sequel was just weird and not good even if it is entertaining for how off the wall it is. &nbsp;And of course Secret Wars (the 2015 arc/reboot/whatever) was a really fantastic epic with Marvel being one of the best big Marvel stories of all time.
