  Expats need to have an exit plan if they don't already have one. The crackdown is only going to get worse.

  Went to Pattaya in June/July.been many times over the years .noticed the famous customer service levels have gone downhill which is a shame as I will be going somewhere else on the next trip

  Daz, Its always good to listen to your thoughts on the current state of Thai tourism.  I would agree with your analysis, particularly around the ineptitude and ever changing policies of the Thai Government. The one thing that is frustrating for me (living in Chiang Mai with two kids), is that it’s becoming prohibitively expensive to stay in Thai resorts for weekend and school holidays, even during the slow season.  I just don’t see the prices coming down enough, even during slow times.  Thai tourism operators complain about the slowdown, but refuse to adjust pricing.  Som nam na!

  I'm strictly a ST punter , so it is cheaper for me to do long weekends in European cities rather than spend 12 hours + on an expensive flight .

  Just got back from six weeks in Jomtien. If you shop around there are some good quality hotels with some amazing deals now.As for bar fines I always use<br>TF app and have built up a nice little library of girls over the years. Not only do you save on the bar fine but also the lady drinks.

  Agree with your commentary. Have not been back to Thailand/PTT since covid. Rising costs was the main reason coupled with finding other places like Vietnam. Have also been enjoying visiting China. Japan is getting too crowded and costs are rising dramatically. Finally the economy. Best to save and not splurge. Thanks.

  I think you covered all the main points in the video. &nbsp;However, one additional point, as an outsider, the anti-foreigner news has seeped through as well and has put people off, in my opinion. &nbsp;Some people have gone to Thailand with the thought that maybe they are scouting a future retirement place, but with the Thai&apos;s looking at the taxes and banking issues, now that is in play and the way the rules have changed and changes so frequently, a stable retirement in Thailand is a bit unknown. &nbsp; My friend that goes to Pattaya has indicated that walking street has changed as well as other parts of Pattaya and it is a bit less fun and just kind of weird now compared to years past. &nbsp;Anyways, many tourist destinations are struggling right now, not just Pattaya. &nbsp;i live in an alternative tourist destination and loving the low season because I can walk into anywhere and treated much better. &nbsp;All the best and thank you for your very informative channel and your personality.

  Thailand says it wants &quot;high value tourists&quot; then it clamps down on banking and all these draconian rule and restricts how much money you can pull out. What is the purpose of high spending tourists when they lower liquidity in the economy?

  Sat here in HO CHI MINH CITY with a Beer it just cost me the equivalent of 30 pence in uk 🇬🇧 money .. And it’s a Carlsberg. 30p Breakfast of a Cup of Coffee, Orange Juice, Two eggs on Toast with Tomatoes and Beans cost me the equivalent of £2.21p . Thats how cheap it is compared to Thailand.. Thailand has out priced themselves..
