  I&apos;m 75 , live alone, work from home, still gym, still healthy, still date women, read a lot and do my own thing.<br>I totally agree with everything you say with one proviso - you get to the stage when you just don&apos;t want to do it anymore. When you are young, life is discovery and adventure. 10 minutes later, 40 years have passed and the daily grind of life, getting up in the morning, having a shower, having breakfast, getting in dressed , leaving for that meeting, &nbsp;just becomes a nuisance.<br>I&apos;m not complaining and certainly not depressed. I can look back on a very full life but honestly, I&apos;ve had enough, done enough and seen enough. Everything disappears in the wisps of time and nothing says the same. I&apos;m glad it&apos;s behind me rather than infront of me. I certainly wouldn&apos;t want to live it again.

  Remi is spot on. I&apos;m 55, and I reached this point in my early 30s, actually. I don&apos;t regret it. Time is the most precious thing you have.

  I&apos;m 37, i stopped caring about trying to keep ppl happy, trying to impress certain ppl. I&apos;m working on not caring abt other ppls Opinions &amp; winning every argument. I actually make post &amp; comments &amp; don&apos;t read or don&apos;t respond to most of the replies or intentional ignorant statements and the same goes with face-to-face conversations with people who wants to be right or a contrarian.

  Time is the resource no one ever gets back. Live long enough and family members die, friends die, kids move out and move on with their lives, career goals change, marriage(s) end. Nothing is permanent or fixed. Even health fades.<br><br>But rather than be angry or sad about it, wisdom is in embracing it. Recognizing the impermanence as it happens. Take the song by Harry Chapin (&quot;Cat&apos;s in the Cradle&quot;) to heart. You never get a second chance with your son or your daughter. Those years are precious, and easily misspent if you aren&apos;t paying attention.<br><br>Lastly, have as much compassion for yourself and your own mistakes (we all make them, only the fool claims otherwise) as you would for someone else close to you. You&apos;re going to mess up. Sometimes it will seem as if you will never be able to come back from it. Come back anyway, and change that part (of yourself) that was the root of the mistake. Cop up to what you did, and what you didn&apos;t do. Fix what you can. Walk on! 🤟✊

  40 s = I Stopped giving all my time to employers , I stopped chasing money,, Learned exactly what u said running around trying to survive and impress everyone left me broke and constantly working, for what people who really don&apos;t even care about u one way or the other
