I love how similar to Prince, they were never married to gear and instruments LOL. the sound was the commitment; the equipment wasn't. They absolutely had recognizable mainstays. It's being completely unsentimental about gear while being extremely particular about the result.

That Cheryl Crow tone is one of the greatest ever recorded and she dials it up like it's nothing. She has an amazing ear for how everything should sound and what should be played for the track. Mike Campbell from Tom Petty has that talent also. Great video, thanks.
