  Splatoon 3 probably aims to be the best of both worlds (and more of course), judging by the vibe it's going for and how the specials work in that game.

  I heavily enjoyed the original because the controls are better, the game is broken with it's specials and gear abilities, and finally the music is better. I many others who have the original on Wii U will not play it because we do not feel like going through the hassle of setting up the Wii U ha ha.

  Kinda agree with the title of the video. While I love both games, something about 1 is just more enjoyable. It’s something I can’t quite put my finger on. 2 does so many great things and I think is a better game as a whole package, but 1 is way more enjoyable to play.

  I agree. I played splatoon 1 and wanted to buy splatoon 2, when I finally got splatoon 2 it didn’t bring me the level of joy or excitement splatoon 1 did. The cartoon like graphics were kinda degraded for more realistic ish graphics that I didn’t like too much, certain specials traded out for less squid stuff like kraken for more real life gun play semblance, just like splat 1 way better.

  Looking at the other comments here I seem to be a minority, but I played splat 2 waaaay more than splat 1. Like probably 2k hours in splat 2,while maybe 200 on splat 1. And I got both games around the time they launched. I would say I enjoyed 2 over 1

  Saltspray Rig is unironically my favorite map in all of Splatoon and I was sad it didn't get brought back in 2.  I hope someday they add it to 3.

  Splatoon 1 has a vibe that Splatoon 2 just doesn&apos;t match. It&apos;s so much brighter and more lively with both the graphics and the music, and that&apos;s actually the factor that made me love the game.
