Andrew Cowan was a cousin of a classmate who farmed just up the road. He drove for Rootes Works Team and had a few "hairy" cars including a 1300 fuel injected Hillman Imp!

The car was build by Lasse Lampi Ralliart Finland for Tommi. It was basically custom build that was hard to tune by others. Burns had some success with it. Airikkala had a rally school in UK, both Burns and Colin were his students.

You should have mentioned.
While Andrew Cowan was developing Ralliart for WRC, they were also developing the dominant Pajero and its many evolutions in Dakar.

BTW!! .... we want a Pajero Evolution video next !! 🤔

Plenty of content to deep dive into, with the Pajero story. 👌🏻

When someone asks Evo or WRX, just show them this. There was no contest.

I met a bloke who had an MX5, a wife and a new baby. He "needed" (according to his wife) a family saloon, so an EVO turned up, while we we having coffee, which met the requirements with space for a baby seat and a boot for the pram.

The good old saying still holds true. To finish first you first have to finish.

I had a Galant VR4. It had a larger turbo and a bunch of supporting mods. It was a blast.

I know this will probably never happen, but I am still gonna ask for it - I would like to see an episode on the Opel Monza/Manta, or the whole Opel Coupes branch.
Or maybe executive saloons in the 80. Or I dont know, something not rally-related maybe? Just for a change? :)
