  Choosing the Sagrada Família for this obituary piece is even more fitting when you realize that both these pieces represent the last vision of their respective genius creators, left unfinished by their sudden, early death and later completed via the interpretation of all the collected clues they left of their plan

  Remember: this is not a modern basilica. This is not a 3D mad project from a new-brand architech studio. This is a work  in progress from 1882. How fucking genious you have to be at that time to even envision something like Sagrada Familia?

  It’s Christmas Eve, 2025, and I found this quite by accident. What a wonderful gift! This splendid work, performed in this stunning setting, captured so beautifully. Love the way a loud final note would slowly fade away in the cavernous basilica! Thank you, Herr Mozart and Senor Gaudi!! Peace and good will to all.

  Ten years ago, as a bass I was in the chorus and took part in two times performance of this great piece. During the period of three months practice before performance, I was DEEPLY into and moved by this piece even thought I must come to be a catholic believer after the performance. This will never be forgotten for all my life. -- a music lover from China.

  The Sagrada Família is the only place on Earth grand enough to hold the weight of this Requiem. Watching the light filter through those columns while the Lacrimosa plays feels like a direct connection to the infinite. You don't need to be a believer to feel the sheer power of what Mozart and Gaudí were reaching for.

  I simply CANNOT believe this came across my feed just now, Xmas night.  This is one of my favorite works of art by Mozart, if not my top.  I’ve been listening to Requiem for at least 40 years now, and I still become emotional every time.  Oh my gosh just wow.  Thank you thank you SO MUCH for this! ❤️
