  Someone tried to do this to me in Athens. He just grabbed my wrist and was tying the bracelet. I was caught off guard, I panicked and screamed at him: &quot;Don&apos;t fucking touch me!&quot; Athens is the worst city I&apos;ve ever been to when it comes to scams. Someone poured liquid makeup on my shirt twice. They will offer a napkin to clean it up to confuse you. Then they will either scam or rob you. Luckily I was aware of this modus.

  Kim, I have been to Paris several times as well and have never had a problem. &nbsp;The last time was in 2018. &nbsp;I really enjoyed watching your videos. &nbsp;You have a wonderful personality. &nbsp;I never had to pre-buy tickets to any of the attractions before but this time I think that it may be a good idea to do so. &nbsp;We are going next September with friends and one of them has never been to Paris and the other only once about 40 years ago. &nbsp;We are looking forward to our visit. &nbsp;We&apos;ll only be there for 4 days so we will need to do a lot in a short time.

  Most them are in all other tourist countries as well .. I remember a woman trying that &quot;string method&quot; 15 years ago in spain .. once you mention &quot;police&quot; they go away pretty quick. At least they did back then.<br><br>..but to be fair I felt more scammed when on vacation in austria/salzburg they wanted me to pay 7 euros for a small bottle of water ..

  I was going to visit Paris. But now I&apos;m not going.<br><br>Update: i did visit Paris during the summer 2026 and none of these happened to me.

  yup! just got back 5 days ago and got hit with the ricksaw &quot;per person&quot; scam AND the fake taxi. charged us 183.00 for taxi from the airport to hotel. was supposed to be 56-65 euros. would not give us our bags without paying it. But i disputed with amex and they gave us back the difference when I sent them proof of what the taxis should have been according to signs at the airport.

  I literally book everything online. Mostly use Taxi, off course Uber only. And carry one credit card and only 200 euros when I&apos;m in Paris or any European countries. And I&apos;m always in moving. Not to talk anyone unnecessarily.
