What’s really cool is when you first get to the village if you shoot the bell at the church you skip the entire fight

I genuinely felt bad for chief mendez and the village, christ they were just living simple farmers life and raising their children until Saddler and Ramon showed up to mess everything up. When leon arroves on the village he was pratically mercy killing them

Here's a fun fact you missed in your garador section: you mentioned a caretaker has to take care of garador and eventually went mad and ran but I believe he didn't escape, if you go back and check there's a corpse hanging on the door you come out of after fighting garador ,he has the word "deserter" carved into his stomach/chest

I love Ashley's and Leon's relationship in the game, it's so well done. The scene were he comforts her and she realizes he is infected too is top notch. It also shows how he never gives up with what he says to her. She also gathers up courage within her capabilities and they both end up being a proper team in the end. 10 out of 10 game.

One of the biggest changes is right at the start of the game, and makes the intro 10x better imo:

In the original, Leon doesn't speak any Spanish, so he can't understand what the Ganados are saying. He asks in English if the Ganado has seen Ashley Graham anywhere nearby, to which the Ganado basically tries to shoo Leon away before trying to kill him. This sparked a bit of a meme in the fanbase, since it kind of looks like Leon kills an innocent villager who was just trying to protect his home from an unknown, armed stranger.

In the remake, Leon first asks the Ganado in Spanish if he has seen a police officer, gets no response and then finds the bloodied badge of the cop. The Ganado swings an axe at Leon, who then kills him.

Luis is still vague in the remake, but after Leon's consistent pushing, he finally spills it. Leon also acts more appropriately to Luis' mysteriousness

I also liked how Salazar was depicted as the black sheep of his family due to his "illness" whch gives more info on how the connection to the los illuminados as well as his affection toward them came to be.
The unfoundet insults he throws at Leon during their fight ("demon child", "you should have died" etc.) give insight into how he was treated before the cult came along and give him more personality.

What I like is the knife the most useful weapon in the game, is what marvin gave leon. It means alot to see this weapon and marvin in a way life on in the lore.

I'm really happy that Capcom didn't forget about Operation Javier. I always wanted a full game on that. Maybe there will be a DLC or something. One can hope!

Probably my favorite thing about the remake was the proper explanation of what happened to Leon after RC. Not only did we get an idea of how he got as strong as he did (which could be put together from information gathered from other places, but i like that info about Leon came from a game focusing on Leon), but it touched on the psychological effects surviving RC had on him, which made him more human (imo). It makes sense that, even 6 years after the incident, he's still affected by what happened.

it truly was one if not the best remake of all time. without damaging the lore or anything Luis went from a oh no hes dead to me and my girl crying. So much attention to detail went into it its crazy

24:42 in Japanese magazine of original RE4, it stated that Garador, due to influence of parasite, started aggressively attacking everyone. Hence, why he was locked in a dungeon and his eyes were poked out
