I've owned and loved a R1100RS, a K1200RS, and am now on my 2nd R1250RS. Outstanding bikes; glad to see BMW finally giving more out to reviewers to get the word out. Best damn BMW nobody has heard of.

"If you are not going to offroad your GS, buy this", and I did...via an RNineT and F750GS prior to that. I went to the dealership to buy some oil and I saw the RS last August, swung a leg over and....the rest is history! It is a beautiful bike, I've had several people comment on its looks when I fill up with gas (petrol). The only thing not available last year was the ECO mode and seat heating, I have all the other nice tech bits you mention. I did add bar risers and a larger screen for touring because I'm 168 cm tall and the stock screen made my tinnitus roar, but all summer the short screen is back on its lowest screw attachments - gives a delightful naked bike feel (with ear plugs). A thrilling machine and I loved your review and positive feedback on the unassuming, often overlooked bike of the BMW lineup.

"The MILF of sport tourers." Just based on that comment alone, I'm tempted to sell my car so I could afford to just go and stick this in the garage. 🤣

I took a spin on an R1250R a few days ago, BMW was at the local dealership for a demo day. Sadly I arrived too late to take out more than one, because I would love to have taken out the RS as well.

I really can't justify purchasing a bike like this at this time, especially since I have a new bike I just bought a couple of years ago. However, I really love the RS, and I'm glad that you do as well. Encouraging!

I bought the RS because of 1) looks 2) low down COG 3) Not doing off-road on a 250kg bike 3) handling 4) I can get my feet down. I love it. I've swapped the bars for Wunderlich, put an MRA Vario screen on, and bare-end mirrors. It's the best bike I've ever had.

I went from a Kawasaki h2sx se to this exact bike, way more upright, wider softer seat, not got the top speed (or supercharger) but the low down grunt, torque and overall comfort (except for the mirrors as I’m very broad shouldered and options for aftermarket gps mount relocation are very…shit, wunderlich being the best I’ve tried so far yet still cut the top of the tft off) are what made me fall in love with this bike

Great review. I have my RS for 2 and 1/2 years now. What a fantastic bike this is to ride. If you are not a fan of off-road than take the RS for sure.

Great review. I have the 2019 GS HP Rallye which I absolutely love - and I the only thing which is stopping me test riding the 1250 RS is I can't afford to buy it when I realise I would rather have that!! I really enjoyed the review and you have a very natural way about you when commentating. Keep up the good work!!

While a snowstorm has been howling outside my window, I have really enjoyed your easy commentary that didn't try to bury me with details. I also liked reading your TFT as you moved along. After 3 RSs beginning in 1988 (2 Ks and 1 R and 100k+ miles), I've been off-roading for the last 7 years (48k miles with a DL650XT. I was good enough, I suppose, but I freely admit preferring a sport touring experience. So last Oct, I picked up a '21 1250RS. Now I truly feel at home and am super impressed with all it has to offer this 78-year-old.! Kinda like having a FWB with "the milf of sport-tourers!" Thanks again.
