  That &apos;95 team was a modern day Murder&apos;s Row. &nbsp;They had a .300 hitter in every position except for SS, and that was occupied by one of the best fielding SS in MLB history. &nbsp;They had Jim freaking Thome and Manny freaking Ramirez batting 5th and 6th!

  As a kid who grew up in Cleveland during this time it was awesome, everyone was all about the Indians , team was good for the first time in like 40 years, new stadium the whole city was electric

  I was just a kid but clearly remember The Drive, The Fumble, and all the heartbreaking losses the Cavs had to Jordan&apos;s Bulls in the 80s and 90s. That 1997 Indians loss in Game 7 was by far the most painful moment in Cleveland sports. That was suppose to finally be our year and yet choked it away to an expansion team nobody cared for. It hurts to this day.

  The names not mentioned like David Justice, Richie Sexson, Brian Giles, Marquis Grissom, Bip Roberts, Assenmacher, Schuey, Fryman, Julian Tavares, to name a few. &nbsp;Any time you can put a Tom Hamilton call in, you gotta. &nbsp;Somewhere a teenage version of myself is asking how they didn’t win. &nbsp;The answer was, and always will be: not enough pitching.

  &apos;97 hurt more than &apos;16 and it still does to this day. I think part of the reason &apos;16 didn&apos;t hurt so much is we were still riding high from the Cavs winning the title just a few months before the &apos;16 World Series, although I will curse the stupid rain delay forever. But we had the lead in the 9th with two outs to go. In &apos;16 game 7 was tied in the 9th....... WE HAD THE LEAD!!!<br><br>But &apos;97 will always hurt. Like Mike Hargrove says when people ask him if he&apos;s gotten over it yet: &quot;When I do you&apos;ll be the first to know&quot;.

  I went to exactly two Indians games back in the old stadium, and both games Cory Snider hit a walk-off home run to win the game.
