On the Great Divide: the only reason Aang lied is because that Wei Jin / Jin Wei story does not matter in the slightest. So he gave the most underwhelming explanation possible so they would forget it completely.

37:41 Actually, it’s revealed in ‘The Western Air Temple’ that Aang did tell Katara & Sokka about getting captured by Zhao when they were sick but didn’t tell them that Zuko saved him as the Blue Spirit - he only told them that once Zuko asked to join their group.

29:00 This is also why the Avatar is told to learn the elements in the order they do:

Earth 🍃 (Spring)
Fire 🔥 (Summer)
Air🌬️ (Autumn)
Water 💧 (Winter)

(Though in Aang’s case it’s Air, Water, Earth & Fire) because it was expanded in the Avatar Chronicles that bad things will happen or become unbalanced if the elements don’t follow a certain sequence.

This was an amazing video. Every episode was mostly great and some good. It’s crazy how this show impacted so many people. Over 15 years later and here we are. I even remember watching the final episode in a hospital room begging to change the channel. It was absolutely incredible.

It’s so refreshing seeing someone appreciate season 1 as much as I do. It’s probably my favorite season to rewatch because I find the lightheartedness of this season charming. I know Bato of the Water Tribe is considered one of the least liked episodes, but it’s one of my favorite episodes of season 1! And the season 1 finale is my favorite finale of the whole series. Great video!

Well... There are also some other legends like foaming mouth guy or the nomads singing secret tunnel.
But the cabbage merchant trumps them all.
Just for your information: I named my cat Toph. She's stubborn, crazy, fast and smart. I'm sure your Momo is always hungry, curious and a great friend.
