Just took this train on Monday. After two un-airconditioned trains from Hungary into Serbia it was a very welcome surprise. So comfortable and clean.

I saw this train when I cycled down the danube river from germany to romania in 2024. Novi Sad and Belgrad are really interesting cities and worth visiting!

The Belgrade Railway (BG Voz) now runs obsolete, graffiti-covered Soviet trains. They will be replaced by 30 brand new Spanish CAF trains from 2027 onwards. Maybe you should come and check out those trains when they become operational. Another suggestion is to visit Tito's train (museum) and ride the narrow-gauge Shargan Eight tourist train from the 1920s, now used in the summer months. Greetings from Serbia. Let's hope the Hungarian section will open soon, too. It was supposed to open for passenger service literally months ago, but the signaling system was messed up, and they're still fixing it. They say it will open at the end of this summer, but who knows. But once it does open, I'd love to ride it between two capitals.
