I'm still trying to wrap my head around a drummer who hasn't heard Limelight.

Dude giving a drummer Limelight by Rush is diabolical. The song has 4 different time signatures and is constantly shifting between them. That fact that she held her own here is incredible.

It's such a full circle moment, that one of her academy teachers over here in Germany now plays for Rush.... Mindcracking!

Having a song with 4/4, 3/4, 7/4 and 7/8 thrust upon you like that is seriously daunting, well done.

That's how you nail a Rush song. She has incredible feel for the instrument, just jamming along and being awesome, amazing.

The fact that Philo trusted the music and just dove into the deep end is not only a testament to her experience and intuition, but it proves how Rush's approach to odd times is a process that serves the phrasing and the song. It just made sense to her and she didn't need to count time signatures. That's great drumming, and great song writing.

Coming up to the 6th anniversary of Neil's passing, and this channel "knocked on my door" today. What joy it is witnessing people discover Rush and their music.
