  Just to clarify — it doesn’t have to be a legendary buck or any legendary animal. You can use any regular animal, but try to go for the bigger ones since they’ll protect your head better than the smaller animals. And if you’re done with everything in New Austin and want to get rid of the animal that’s glitched on your face, just save your game and reload that save.

  This is actually really awesome to see how this is better than the buggy method, AND the dead carcass on shoulder method. You can get many items as Arthur in New Austin, herbs, trinkets, notebook drawings, Otis Miller Revolver, pamphlets, perhaps fishing??? All in one save. Literally helped out an entire community dedicated to getting everything as Arthur as early as Chapter 2. That’s awesome actually, gonna try this soon

  Can conform it works on console. Struggled with timing, but i got it now. Few tips: just use a regular buck, stand behind the animal when you aim and drink, you gotta do the drinking fast if you have the trinkets it takes about 11 bottles to pass out, when you done drinking count 1 - 1000 / 2 - 1000 / 3 - 1000 / 4 - 1000 / 5 - 1000 and THEN kill and pick up as soon as you can... This is how it works for me

  It still works. Tried it yesterday July 19th, 2025. I used the legendary buck. Took me 5 times until I picked it up in the right second. Wait till the screen turns green and starts to get wobbly. Always keep his head out of sight or they will still shoot you and you have to outrun the lawmen again.

  There is something supremely hilarious about the sniper using hundreds of rounds trying so desperately to kill you. Imagining how frustrated he must be is amusing.

  Did this glitch a week ago already and it got me the skull mask, treasure hunt in austin, the crow trinket, turtle shell trinket, the otis miller. You want a sheep, a pronghorn doe, a deer and i did a extra buck and it couldn't hit me even if i felt trying to get horses and i was able to just freely explore

  Just seen a video off a fella doing this yesterday and tried it and it does work, it’s a great glitch to help you go to New Austin and explore Blackwater without dying to the invisible sniper
