  I totally agree - it was off the back of the boardroom show featuring the twinzer that they resurfaced into the mainstream surf consciousness. I love twins, and I love quads. Twinzers for me sit somewhere in between. I find them to be a much smoother ride than a straight twin. Speed, drive, and hold. But there’s a right way to set em up, and you have shapers hopping on the twinzer bandwagon without the necessary information. The canards are supposed to reduce the turbulence that hits the main fins - they have to be in the right position with the right cant to achieve that. If you’re feeling the twinzer vibe, do yourself a favor and shoot Manny Caro at Mandala Custom Shapes a message!

  Rode Rusty twinzers when they first came out probably late 80’s or 90’s. They help attach water to the fins more efficiently. He shaped me a twinzer fish and shortboard.

  You can swim and hug dolphins at Coffs Harbour in Oz. Take your texta and thin Perspex and you’ll easily be able to trace the fin and then hold the fin (gently) and get dragged around for a bit of fun

  Maybe NVS should do the dolphin fin! I know I had one back in the day but it was a molded plastic.

  I agree re sanding the paint off! I mean of course that’s gonna affect how the board rides 🤦🏻‍♂️ And of course you should ride the shapers recommended fins before you go for your own. The whole test is a little underwhelming with the wave quality crowds etc

  I have loved twins for a long time but there were always shortcomings to them for me. I discovered Twinzers a couple years ago and haven’t found a downside. Twinzers accelerate out of turns more than twins. They are less pivoty and way waaay more drivey than twins. Better backside and much bigger range than twins.<br><br>P.S. NVS makes BEAUTIFUL fins!

  Oh and I totally take a few sets of fins to the beach when I get a new board, surf for an hour, come in and change em out, surf for an hour, come in and change em out, surf again 🤷🏼‍♂️

  I was disappointed that Haz tried the shapers fins in episode two but not Tom Morat&apos;s fins in episode one. I don&apos;t think he was fair to Morat&apos;s board.

  I have a few comments.....the women&apos;s inconsistent performance could be due to their natural cycles:&gt; I would argue that Cole Housemen has more power than Occy simply due to him having a considerably larger frame, simple physics of height(leverage) and weight enable insane water displacement. I&apos;m a huge fan....no pun intended:&gt; I agree 100% with you dialogue about 8 to 12 foot Cloudbreak separating the field into the elite and the not quite elite CTer&apos;s. And that to me is why more events should be in &quot;heavy water&quot;. &nbsp;Like you said anybody can rip Lowers....
