  I have heard from other traders that increased insurance costs and other strategic problems navigating the Strait of Hormuz adds $15.00 per barrel to the price of oil. This analysis also does not deal with the spot oil price. Iran is moving a great deal of oil overland @ Pakistan border, &nbsp;selling it at a spot price of up to &nbsp;$125-175 /bbl. <br>That volume if &nbsp;oil is not being sold at a commodities future contract &nbsp;price. In my opinion it is misleading for Goldman Sachs and others to be claiming the Strait of Hormuz is open. It is not open to navigation like it was in January of 2026. I would appreciate oil market reporting that adds those important variables. Including why the price of diesel is divorced from both commodity and spot oil prices.

  The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) has revised historical data from previous years, changing its calculation methodology. According to analysts&apos; estimates, this revision could have &apos;shaved off&apos; 0.3 to 0.5 percentage points from annual figures. In other words, the decline in year-over-year inflation is a technical adjustment made retroactively. The monthly figure remains at a high level.‼️
