Okay, LFP may be better, but I have no choice if I need 4WD!

My 2021 model y battery went out at 130k miles. Battery status was healthy it would drain super fast. And one day bam would not charge above 19% I'm guessing Tesla can push software to keep U thinking everything is fine until you are well out of the 120k warranty.

We charge to 60% for local travel unless we need the range that goes with80%. the long range model is only available in NMC and we need the range.

I own a 2024 Tesla Model 3 with 513 km range WLTP and LFP batteries. Ordered the latest LR model which has 750 km WLTP range, but cancelled the order, losing the deposit, after considering the NMC battery technology used in the LR car. LFP can be charged to 100% without stressing the battery, and may last 6,000 cycles which could be as long as 1,000,000 miles. In comparison the NMC battery is damaged if charged to 100% and left at full charge for any length of time. NMC also does not like very low state of charge. and the lifetime is typically 2,000 cycles, or 1/3 that of the LFP Model 3.
Although the LFP battery has less capacity, and is less dynamic, the far longer lifetime and insensitivity to being fully charged makes it the better buy, and LFP cars hold value better. I have already seen that reflected on the used car market; LR AWD (NMC) cars for sale at similar prices to RWD (LFP) cars of the same age and mileage, but which cost significantly less new.
I would love an EV with 1,000 miles range, but need one with a durable battery which does not object to being charged to 100% or discharged to close to 0%. To date, my Model 3 RWD LFP battery has lost less than one mile of range over 2-years and 22,000 miles.

With a LFP battery if I charge 1 day a week at 100% the 6 others days of the week what is the best? 80%, 85%, 90%?

LFP lacks the performance of NMC. 0-60 times for LFP are gas powered car slow. My MY Juniper has a range of 357 miles. Even if the battery degrades by 30% (unlikely) it still would have a very usable range of 249.9 miles.
