The women acting like people is soo refreshing and nice to see. (Also the main characters being adults not teens was also sooo nice!) Add in the sisterhood and friendship and its all delightful. They made them all feel so real while also not taking it super seriously. I perfect balance.

Basically the main heroines behave like people, not caricatures. And the male characters are not punching bags for the sake of being a punching bag. He is the reason why the main female character can evolve and go forward, making the relationship relatable.

That's why the movie is selling.

This movie actually transcends generational barriers. I'm a 47 year old married programmer/ animator and I absolutely loved the movie for it's soundtrack, stellar animations and unique story.

Having Ahn Hyo-seop play the voice of Jinu and actually playing Business Proposal's theme in this movie was perfection to me!!!

4:50 As a half black woman who was raised with her white family in a town where i was one of 8 non white ppl, this definitely resonates with me. I wanted so badly to be light skinned, blonde and blue eyed my entire childhood. I knew i was different. I tried so hard. Straighted my hair chemically, dyed my hair, all the things. I just wanted to be seen like everyone else. This movie could help so many young girls see they're already perfect even with their "flaws". My daughter and her friends have been obsessed with this movie since it came out. I'll definitely be taking a few to explain this to her.

I like that Jinu's voice has the slightest of lisps, which makes his voice sound so soft.
Also, Zoey's voice is my favourite, and it's so perfect for cartoons that I see a long future of voice work for her.
Then there is Mira. Her deep voice makes her sound so cool and such a badass that I hope to hear her in more things as well.
