  The reason the slot manufacturer is saying if you dont hit a bonus in 1-5 spins leave is because it will lower the chance of you getting to attached to the machine, they know that the machines are designed to get you addicted and hypnotize you into what I call a death spiral where you donk off all your money till its gone.  When you limit yourself to only five spins you decrease the chance of the machine pulling you into a death spiral. It has nothing to do with rtp or increasing the chance of making money and everything to do with preventing you from being brainwashed into giving them all your money. Its actually solid advice from a slot designer other than protect your soul and your life and never play slots to begin with which is the best advice.

  Taught a method by my mate whose parents were always playing slots. He said that the only time he ever saw ppl win they were betting big. In those days the max bet was just $1. He said just bet $20 on max bet. If you win you maximise the win. Scale this to the size of the max bet and your budget. If you win, well done but if you lose just walk away. I have won using this method and have saved myself getting emotionally attached to a machine and spending more than I could afford.

  If you leave a machine after 5 spins because you're not in a bonus by then, you'll almost never be getting into a bonus on any machine and you will lose all your money.  Five spins is not enough to get a good win in most cases.

  If I were betting $5 a spin it wouldn't be on pennies.  I get it max betting has its benefits but it seems like it's smarter to bet $5 on nickels or dimes so your win is multiplied

  I agree about the players card. When I don’t use it I seem to win more. Maybe it’s just in my head. I too hate when ppl bang on the machine screens. It’s very annoying.

  I went to Yamava last weekend. Yeah, I won 300 dollars on the Rampage slot within the first 5 spins and my wife won 1300 on the pinball slot within the first 5 spins. Always happens like that. If I lose 25 bucks I get up and choose a different slot.
