  I&apos;m from Thailand. I wish to say these: &nbsp;Tourism is a trapping industry that make good money for the rich, but do not make the majority of the population better. It is almost like the Resource Rich trap country. Very few of them get to become developed country. In my opinion, tourism allow the rich and the ruling upper class to earn money from outside the country. Therefore, they do not need to grow income of the population in order to grow the economy. As a result you see the wealth gap growing wider and wider. While quality of life for majority of Thai citizen is getting worse. Tourism is only a good start when you have nothing else to offer, but if you&apos;re stuck with it as your main industry, the population suffers. If you disagreed, please provide example to the contrary.

  Going to Thailand was the most fun and most depressing thing I have ever felt. The entires country&apos;s economical system is built around the appeasement of foreigner, and it&apos;s literally out there for you to see, no shame about it. The real victims here are the Thai people, who are extremely humble and hard working. I talked to many of the people there about their lives and how much they make and how much they actually get to spend on themselves....I wanted to cry, my heart goes out for the Thai people. I hope one day nature of tourism pivots into something more beneficial to the average Thai citizens...

  As a Thai, I’m sad how the leaders keep local Thais educated just enough to survive in the country but not too educated so they can’t fully thrive in international settings.

  I can&apos;t believe he didn&apos;t mention medical tourism. It&apos;s <b>HUGE</b> in Thailand. That, and the growing number of retired expats. As more Americans and Brits get older and find their pensions aren&apos;t cutting it back home, more and more will prefer to live in Thailand, where the dollar and the Pound both go much further. That will offset the loses from tourism.

  As a Thai, this video is truthful. More on tourist being trafficked, I and most Thai believe that government official are corrupted and get some earnings from trafficking criminals as well. So long as it doesn&apos;t affect their earning or reputation. It is very sad.

  I&apos;m Thai, the issue I have with Thailand from foreigners is that people always see it as some kind of utopia where people say garbage like &quot;Wow! We don&apos;t have to deal with left-wing politics! No restrictions nothing! I can do whatever I want! Wow the people are so nice!&quot; when in reality like every other country it has its own problems

  There’s nothing wrong with duel pricing in a country like Thailand or Southeast Asia. Locals should be able to visit their beautiful national parks and local monuments at a price that they can afford. Westerners can afford to pay more to keep these beautiful places going. There are many things to complain about in Thailand, but dual pricing is not one of them. 🙏❤️

  From my experience marrying a middle-class Thai woman I met here in Sydney back 1998, the elite class exploit the poor and keep it that way for their own advantage. The elites resisted pressure from the west to improve their public education system, so they could keep the poor down and continue exploiting them.
