  I think what stand out to me most as &quot;unnerving&quot; in this game is the juxtaposition between the fake, plastic smiles of the townspeople, and then there&apos;s the contrast of the distrust and foreboding atmosphere where all the townspeople have bad experiences with Strawberry.<br>The art direction is telling you this is Baby Gaem, but he dialogue is hitting &quot;Façade&quot; tones.<br><br>I feel it&apos;s unusual (or at least would be by today&apos;s standards) for a children&apos;s game to let one of it&apos;s lead characters be actively malicious. <br>That, or the writers hit an uncanny valley of characterization where Strawberry is intended to be seen as a &nbsp;mischievous prankster, but instead comes off as an amoral psychopath who operates chaotically for kicks and giggles.

  This game is written like one of those horrifying fairytale stories. Strawberry tricked Ronnie into undergoing hard labor she was meant to do while also being pelted with insults by the denizens of Magic Land, all the while Strawberry was also inside his mind like a parasite. Not only that but Strawberry framed Ronnie into making her look like the person who saved Magic Land, meanwhile all Ronnie got was an applause from 10 people in his school auditorium.

  This game is every trope of weird 90s/early-2000s edutainment compiled into a single entity. Blursed early CGI characters, weird and inane dialog, strange voice acting, tedious repetitive gameplay, a surreal nonsensical premise... It feels almost <i>too</i> perfect. Like as if it was made recently to capitalize on trend of nostalgia for software from that time, but it&apos;s completely genuine.<br>That said, thank you for the edit. While all that&apos;s fun and such this game is painful to sit through unfiltered. Kinda like the CDI Zeldas or Star Wars Holiday Special in that way. More interesting on paper than in practice. I was there when Jerma streamed it, and while the &quot;Berrybros&quot; were a thing and a meme that lives on, the part of chat that wasn&apos;t high on irony was begging him to move on.
