  I just want the dragonfly helicopter, but whoever designed the progression must be a Stormlight fan, and is following the "journey before destination" ideology (and did a good job designing the progression systems, they're addictive)

  I finally got my ornithopter after playing at a slower, more completionist pace, in about 139 hours.  I found a well armored stillsuit chest piece and powerful sword that made fighting easy, and could take out half a dozen mobs relatively quickly.  In that time, I also unlocked all 5 character types, and can now (as you said) start enjoying the game more than ever.

Thousands of ore only seems like a lot when you are running around on foot hauling just what you can fit in your pockets. The buggy is an absolute game changer for how it enables industrial scale harvesting of the nodes you&apos;ve been using this entire time. For everything.<br>-A five-minute circuit around any of the Ironworks in the Vermilius Gap and you can walk away with enough ore to fill an entire medium iron chest.<br>-Hitting just ONE single fuel cell nodes will give you enough to completely CAP A GENERATOR for the full 20 days.<br><br>You will spend more time driving the buggy to the Hagga Rift and back than it will take you to harvest all the Ethyrite crystals you&apos;ll need for any phase of building.

  Another important thing I would emphasize to solo players it not to sleep on Dew Harvesting. If you find yourself back at your base and it&apos;s nightfall, grap your Dew collector and as many empty literjons as you have. The blood pumps and Death still are great for passive water gathering, but you can easily scoop far more water per hour by grabbing it yourself.

  I should have watched this about &nbsp;200 hrs ago all this time i never realised i could have had this earlier. Joys being an old pensioner gamer lol.

  I wish I had built the buggy so much sooner. I’ve wasted soooo much time doing runs with the bike, thinking the buggy was going to be too slow. Just got it last night, and brought back more ore in one trip than I know what to do with it.<br><br>Edit: Also built my main base on the island south of the Anvil (where the patch of drum sand is going south - north. Felt great for the first 10 hours, but now my aluminum runs feels like they take a million years. Just built a secondary base much further up that I’m slowly delivering resources to and ramping as I make ore trips

  I collected the loose small Aluminum ore around the larger nodes. Sucked, but saved a step and went from MARK 2 to MARK 4 cutteray.
