  With extinction it makes total sense story wise for the different biomes, they needed to test the arks and make sure they could contain different biomes

  There is only one true king - &nbsp;Aberration (pre ASA/Gen 1) No flyers make you feel so small and everything is super scary until you finally get your first rockdrake... Nothing comes even close making ark feel like a real survival game

  I haven’t finished the video, but I hope lost island is in the top 3, it’s the most immersive/realistic map by far all while still having tons of variety in biomes, creatures, and caves.

  At first I was really not into Astraeos but after some updates and playing on it more, it’s definitely one of my favorite maps of all time.

  also to remember: just the inicial island of Astraeos is almost the size of the whole The Island map, which is CRAZY

  One thing to consider is that for the story maps they&apos;re expecting your character to have completed the previous maps, like Gen 2 expects you be level 120+ for some of the items which is wild

  But the theme of genesis is a simulation of the hardest biomes to survive on past maps, it does have a cool theme

  I think gen 2 is underrated, i love the futuristic theme of the map, the space biome is awesome, and the dinos are awesome aswell
