  Im a witness of all this history and beauty of Spain and it&apos;s culture. &nbsp;On a train from Seville to Madrid after also visiting Granada and missed Cordova. &nbsp;<br>Fine cuisine and the people amazing.

  It&apos;s estimated that around 10% of the Spanish population has North African (Arab or Berber) ancestry, with a higher percentage in the south and west. This ancestry is attributed to the historical Muslim presence in the Iberian Peninsula (Al-Andalus) and subsequent population movements. Specifically, one study found that 10% of Spanish men have evidence of North African (and presumably Moorish) forebears in their DNA. Additionally, a study by scientists found that when tested for DNA traces pointing to a Sephardi ancestor, the number almost doubled.

  Wanted &nbsp;to correct the idea around Caliph: <br><br> • The Caliph is not divinely appointed. Unlike prophets who receive revelation from Allah, caliphs are human leaders chosen by people (sometimes by consultation, sometimes politically).<br> • The title represents leadership, not divinity. It means “successor” to the Prophet in governance, not in prophethood or divine connection.<br> • Islam strictly separates divinity from human authority. No Muslim leader, including a caliph, is considered divine or infallible.

  Flamenco has its roots in India where the gypsies originally come from. &nbsp;They are called gypsies because they came via Egypt. &nbsp;There is a huge resemblance between Flamenco and Indian Kathak dances.

  Sevillian here: the plaza de España that you depict in the video thumbnail, far from being legacy of the moors, was built in the 1920&apos;s for the hispanoamerican exhibition (similar to a world expo)

  To add, &nbsp;Spain as England and even France a mixed of tribes. Romans, Vandals , Visigoths , Arabs and then some other Germans tribes.
