  If you want to know what a rich person doing charity looks like, look at the late President Jimmy Carter. Other people wrote about him being in africa financing schools and personally laying brick. He didnt publicize it himself, he never went on fundraisers or monetized his charity. He already had wealth and passive income, he personally put his own labor into helping people and his money into buying materials. He didnt care if anyone knew he was doing it. He just cared about doing good with his time

  I remember when my nephew asked me if I knew of him. I told him that I did and then I cautioned him that this really feels like one of those &quot;never meet your heros&quot; kind of situations.<br><br>That if you want to do good works, just do them, and how I hated that he was turning charity into a spectator event. That his videos were entertaining, and to enjoy them, but to look critically at anyone making money off of charitable works.<br><br>That&apos;s not a good person. That&apos;s just a businessman twisting morals for profit, and creating <i>terrible</i> copycats in the process (not like he&apos;s responsible for making them, just popularizing the act of giving someone money to do something crazy or even dangerous)
