"The slippery slope is where we all live." So much wisdom in that statement!

Very interesting and moving conversation. Rabbi David Wolpe Is the one and only Rabbi-Intellect in the US right now.

Our adventures Hebrew grandpas came from Middle East by land and sea and settled in China. I knew nothing about different branches of synagogues and Judiasm until moving to Boston. And I was shocked and still today.

Taiwan born Jew here. My heart hurts for suffering and confused Jews who hide their identity but with Jewish features and mannerisms.

We Jews need to unite first, then we can talk about and support each other’s differences, otherwise, we are just as vulnerable as loose grains of sand on the beach under the mercy of rising tides.

Love that Shabbos asked poignant follow up questions to elicit more direct responses from Rabbi Wolpe. Often the questions many interviewers would avoid asking.

Everyone sins, but where does god draw the line… Conservative and Orthodox Jews disagree, but we all still have to live on that slippery slope. Deeply enjoyed the conversation.

You live a biblical life everyday regardless what you think or do.
Your problem is this.
If you had a childhood birthday your parents recorded. And your family later removed the footage of you receiving your presents and or opening them…people are forever going to question you receiving of them and their legitimacy. People that live the bible and God, need to read everything…

This discussion very helpful to me. Some of Rabbi Wolpe's theological views are quite plausible to me.
After listening to this discussion, I feel more motivation to meet my fellow Jews, attend religious services, and perhaps practice a form of Judaism that takes much of the non-ethical content of the Bible in a non-literal sense.

I was in orthodox seminary for four years. Susequently I obtained a master's degree in social work and became a psychotherapist. Rabbi Wolpe is a great servant of the Jewish people. I don't share his theological views but he's an important voice within American Jewry

Because of Rabbi's like Wolpe and many others is the reason I converted to Judaism. The things they talk about is the things I was thinking when I was 15. I count my blessings every day that Judaism found me.
