  Considering this is happening after Grampa went to the Union, I think this could be considered retaliation and might be worth taking to the Union again. Especially if there&apos;s text evidence of harassment

  The secretary story had me RAGING. As a former teacher (who’s never had a problem handling people like that secretary) I would be livid. If she calls back, please tell her DOCUMENT DOCUMENT DOCUMENT!! Date and time, people involved, any relevant information, etc because I know she said she’s in a “big” district with 6 high schools, but I worked in a district with 24 high schools and word still got around. An accusation like that could ruin lives and already has done some damage with the wife. Working in a school system can sometimes feel like going back to high school yourself with how gossipy it gets.

  Young teacher!! My advice is to make a time stamped document and document any instances of this lady acting a fool. School secretaries can be the barrier to accessing admin and resources and are great at spreading rumors since they talk to everyone. &nbsp;I asked a question to one about where an admin was once and ended up in a meeting with that admin about not questioning her work (because she missed a lot of days without reporting and she knew it but she also knew I needed my job). It’s really sad but a lot of staff at schools never grew out of the high school mentality and you have to be careful who you trust and fake to the rest to survive. I couldn’t handle that plus a student threatening to shoot me so I’m out of the profession now but best of luck to you, girl!
