Jerry and I covered a lot in this one. I've tried plenty of Jeep upgrades over the years, and some have worked out better than others. What's one modification you've done that you wouldn't do again? I'd like to hear your experience. Thanks for watching, guys!

Check us out over at https://trailrecon.com for Jeep and off-road gear.

I have a 2020 JT that i have owned since new. I installed an Edelbrock SC at 11k miles and just passed 40k. Good so far, power is nice, tows better, but mileage- not so much. It has served its purpose though. 👍

99.9% of people will never need a snorkel, but the day you do, the consequences will be catastrophic if you don’t have it. It’s like carrying a fire extinguisher. I have never used it on my JK, but on my TJ I have more times than I would have liked. What people don’t understand is that you need more than a snorkel to do it it right. You need to raise all your breathers, and depending on your vehicle, pressurize your distributor. Fluid change after the water crossing are also a must.

I bought a built up jeep on 35 tires and 18 in rims. Tires were heavy, near new, maxxis mud tires. I think fuel rims. Great but so so heavy. I could feel it struggle to slow down. I calculated the weight of these wheels and compared to other options in the market and basically they were the heaviest combination.

I decided to get lighter, Mickey tires and replaced with aluminum method wheels which are still heavy but overall I shaved off a ton of weight.

I think rotational mass on wheels and tires is a underserved topic. It doesn't have as much history and engineering behind it but I could feel a huge improvement in daily driving. Also 17 in rims mean cheaper tires which is a plus.
