I don't care if it's fastest. I came here for the redicilous amounts of hacking and silliness. And I was not disappointed.

I can't say I ever thought a computer that runs bare metal DOS Quake 2 but then just boots into modern Windows to play Trombone Champ is something I would ever use but holy hell do I respect the effort. Absolutely nuts

Something about rebooting from 1998 to 2025 and back again in a couple seconds is really entertaining to me

Dual booting Windows 11 and MS-DOS/Windows 98 is insane

22:47 You mean I DIDN'T have to buy a Nintendo 64 to play this? I could've just waited until someone recompiled it for my childhood Windows 98 machine?

Fun fact, IBM mainframe (z/OS) maintains complete backward compatibility. So, for example, an OG card reader will still work as a valid input device on new systems being shipped today.

I can't express how pleasing these abominations you hack together are. Showing the sound card going from a 5150 to this PC just makes me happy.

I love your ability to just ISA stuff in the modern era, nobody else is doing software projects like this.
For software projects I actually made my own MS-Dos distribution called Ultimate MS-Dos 7.1 (You should be able to find it without to much hassle).
It has a USB stick and Floppy version and comes with a modified MS-Dos 7.1 with higher compatibility (Windows 3.11 mostly works) and all the tools you'd typically need for this kind of system with the cd or even dvd-rom drivers, mouse drivers, slowdown utilities (Fastest DOS PC is only a plus if you can also slow it down for the games that require it).
Considering its basically what you wanted for this video it may help out in future projects since then you don't need to go the Windows 98 route.
