As a person who just started Binding of Isaac myself, this stuff is so helpful, and I'd love so many more of these

I want to make an addition to the sacrifice room: The Troll Bomb wave can be used offensively. If you spawn the bombs and leave before they blow up, then go back in and spawn the angel, the angel will almost always get obliterated by 4 to 5 bombs hitting him, making the fight super easy. It's not the most beginner friendly thing to do, but is a good thing to learn with Curse of the Tower or Anarchist Cookbook

As a relatively new player still just over my first 100 hours, your point about not holding R when starting out is hugely important and correct. There have been plenty of runs I thought were doomed that end up working out and I get a win. Don’t give up, don’t hold R until you’re better, you’ll win more runs than you think.

So this video is 2 years old but just maybe someone reads this and finds it useful: in this particular run Frost is scared of crashing the game and says "I'll hold down the button on the next floor". The reason he said next floor is because the game saves when moving to the next floor so he wouldn't lose progress from crashing. What Frost didn't seem to know is that instead of waiting to go to the next floor you can just quit to the menu and the game also saves when quitting so if you quit and continue you're free to crash the game and not lose progress.
