  It feels like the town of Gary missed a golden opportunity to preserve those sights. It would have brought the town a lot of money just by tourism alone.

  This makes me want to travel to Gary just to see these sights. Beyond me why they didn’t preserve this stuff I mean it’s Michael Jackson and the Jackson’s we are talking about. Town could have made so much money in tourism it’s such a shame 😢

  There needs to do something about gary, indiana. This is unjustified how this town has turned into a Ghost Town. The governor of Indiana needs to do something about it as people across the World comes to Gary to pay respect to king of pop.

  The biggest culture shock for us when we visited Gary in 2010 was the state of ruin of the town. We did love visiting 2300 Jackson St and the Jackson home. It was on the 25th June 2010 and there was a street party going on with a stage in the street. The Jackson Family was there to unveil to original Monument in the front of the house. It was also our first trip to the USA. It is sad to see it has not really improved that much. Cheers from Australia
