I think that’s the first step to overcoming racism in our world and societies. Understanding and accepting that we all have biases and make judgements on preconceived notions, my self included. Once we do that, we open ourselves up to awareness and open-mindedness

Interesting talk. Yes, first step is to stop thinking we're better than we actually are.

in ireland, the north in particular where we endured 'the troubles' basically a religious war which 'ended' after the 'peace process' and 'good friday agreement' in the late 90's, there is <i>still</i> no meaningful integration. there is <i>still</i> 'peace walls' separating the two communities (more walls now in fact than ever, more than berlin ever had) <br>we're thankful that the killing has stopped, but acutely aware just how delicate the 'peace' is, and how much further we have to go. <br>sláinte mo chara's ... good luck ! =)

"Racism is not dead, but it is on life support -- kept alive by politicians, race hustlers and people who get a sense of superiority by denouncing others as 'racists'."<br>-Thomas Sowell

Racism is "one of the most baneful and persistent evils" and "a major barrier to peace," of which its elimination is "the most challenging issue" for America and a significant milestone in the process of world unity. ~ Baha'i Faith Writings

<b>If in the year 2005 I told you that 15 years from today, people would lose their job for saying "All Lives Matter" would anyone have believed me?</b>
