  The Canadian Embassy and their ambassadors do not get enough credit for taking in and hiding, and taking care of these Americans as well as providing the Canadian passports for the Americans.  These documentaries focus more on the CIA and Americans.  If the Canadian Embassy hadn't taken them in the CIA wouldn't have anyone to exfiltratrate from Iran.

  This event is etched in my mind forever. &nbsp;November 4, 1979 was the day my mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung and Brain Cancer by her oncologist. &nbsp;Mom was in the hospital for pneumonia. &nbsp;As the doctor walked in with the bad news, the television was on showing this despicable act done to Americans by Iran. &nbsp;Those bastards killed our Americans and that day also was the death sentence given to my loving mother. &nbsp;Mom died a year later on November 14, 1980. &nbsp;I was 20 years old. <br>A horrible day in history for me and my family. &nbsp;We were never the same after that. &nbsp;The American families that lost their loved ones during this crisis were never the same again, too.

  They didn&apos;t need to do Juno. &nbsp;The Canadians were prepared to issue every American there Canadian passports to leave Iran.

  And in the meantime killed 100&apos;s of 1000&apos;s of innocent civilians &nbsp;in every other war around the world.....

  Well let&apos;s not forget that it was the CIA that overthrew the democratically elected Mossadegh government in Iran to set up the brutal dictatorship of the Sha that was being overthrown by a coalition of students and religious clerics in 1979. &nbsp;So lets not pretend that somehow the CIA were innocent &quot;good guys&quot; in this story.
