  There is absolutely no better feeling than seeing your opponent&apos;s mental state crumble to dust after bullying your Dedede up to like 200% and then dying horribly at 60% to one opening. It&apos;s all about how hard you can hit AND how hard you can get hit and keep going.

  As a dedede player, you have to completely shift your brain when playing him. Instead of trying to approach.. you just wait for your opp to mess up. He&apos;s only good at capitalizing on your opponents mistakes.

  As somebody who mained dedede in smash 4 and early ultimate, then stopped following the game for years, happy to see that he’s somehow managed to drop from bottom 4. Its truly an honour to have seen even a portion of his majesties journey

  Playing Dedede is a case of &quot;yeah, I may be a dumbass with my up-close movement, but I passed geometry so well that I&apos;ll hit you with a Gordo from angles you never thought possible&quot;.<br><br>Obviously he sucks at approaching. But he relies on looking dumb to play smart, kinda like he does in his own games; he SEEMS like he&apos;s just some portly penguin who doesn&apos;t know how to fight, and then he styles on you hard in ways you never expect him to. As a Dedede main myself (alongside Ganon, Incineroar, Min Min, and my main man Kirby), I know this from just labbing him out against friends and CPUs alike.

  Dedede is what I call a &quot;shenanigans&quot; character. He is awful, but the stuff he does have is so fucking silly that you will take stocks with shit that absolutely SHOULD not work.
