I'm so glad these episodes are getting so long. I love hearing more thoughts on all the entries.

Jon is underrating Metroid Fusion's story, and specifically, how it fuses story with gameplay. You literally start with the linear structure enforced on you by the federation and then break out of it, the story and gameplay compliment each other so well

I love that Metroid Fusion got as high as it did. What I think some of the team is missing while discussing it is the insane atmosphere the game has. It almost feels like you're playing a PG horror movie. On a gameplay level I like how Samus controls in fusion better than zero mission. Lets go Fusion gang!!!

The GameBoy Advance absolutely BLEW me away right before my teen years. Not only was the screen wider and the device itself now horizontal instead of vertical, which gave it an edgier futuristic look, but when you turned it on the colors JUMPED out at you, flashing across the screen, and then ending in that iconic *pling*. Pure euforia!

I always love how big a fan Jon is of Klonoa. Love hearing him include or mention it often

GBA library is GOATED. Ppl say that it was mostly just ports of SNES games, but the Pokémon games, the Metroid titles, Mario & Luigi, Golden Sun, Wario Land 4 and countless other original titles would beg to differ.

Superstar Saga forever my number 1. Still the best M&L game today too.

Metroid fusion is probably the most unique Metroid game in terms of presentation. The fusion suit is so iconic. The x parasites were fresh and this felt like the first time we really got to understand how Samus thinks.

 1:22:06
to answer this question, in LTTP, link yells in every single swing and it's the same two yells, whereas in MC, he does not and his yells are a bit more tame even though it's the same voice
