Let me be clear: I didn't vote for Trump in 2016, 2020, or 2024. I'm a Democrat-learning Independent who values our democratic norms and values. <br>No one can credibly argue that they did NOT know what they were getting when they voted for Trump in 2020 and/or 2024. I'll give them a slight pass on 2016 because, well, he's a gifted huckster and fooled a lot of people.<br>The GOP Congress, with some exceptions (Mitt Romney, for example) chose to forget that it's supposed to function as a check and balance on the Executive Branch. They put their political survival and prosperity above the U.S. Constitution and the American people.
