  I have an old Ernie Ball, I paid 20 for it 26 years ago and &nbsp;it &nbsp;was already used then, It is so tough &nbsp;that when the casters on my 810 Ampeg broke, I used it to balanced the &nbsp;cab while I waited for the replacement casters for about 2 weeks. Yeah I eventually found the &nbsp;wood blocks, &nbsp;I think I could also use it as a hammer, &nbsp;or to soften meat, crack walnuts ( that I have done) &nbsp;I have replacements but really want this thing to properly die on me before I stop using it,. &nbsp;You are right about the taper. I used it for swells, &nbsp; mute and that tone suck is good &nbsp;for certain things, &nbsp; &nbsp;like an underdrive almost<br><br><br><br>Thanks for this. I may take you off on the consultation as I have this ambient setup, I want to simplify. I really like all your video&apos;s because it is backed by a lot of experience

  this guy is such a great resource. you can tell he really knows and loves all this stuff that is honestly so complicated when you&apos;re up to your neck trying to learn how to just play the instrument. thanks bro.

  Mason, just passed by to thank you for all knowledge you&apos;re passing on. You changed how I feel about pedals on Bass. I play an Alembic Bass (very little Z) and wanted to follow Bootsy&apos;s and Larry Graham&apos;s path regarding effects but it just happened before I understand the impedance matching issue. Thanks, you&apos;re great.

  Great content Mason, I’ve not used volume pedals much on my rigs live and always been dissatisfied with the tone suck when I’ve experimented. You’ve explained it really well and I love the transparent Vertex boost idea too. The concise but comprehensive explanation demos are fabulous, many thanks!
