  I’ve lived in Seattle for 30 years. I’m an HVAC mechanical design project manager. The cost of living in the city is mind-boggling. The taxes are incredibly grotesque. I’ve had my eye on Knoxville Tennessee for a couple years now. I’m about to pull the trigger on selling my house and moving out there. I’m 58. My wife and I are empty nesters. We have no more connections to this city. As of today, how is the housing market? I can sell my Seattle home for about 900,000 and I’d like to get something for about 500,000 in Knoxville.

  We have been here 4 years and have never had any of the problems that you mentioned. We just love it here and we came from California.

  Very interesting angle. Love it! <br>I&apos;m originally from Germany, our weather is very similar to Knoxville&apos;s but unfortunately I&apos;m stuck in Las Vegas and absolutely HATE the desert. <br>Husband and I are wanting to move to the Knoxville area for a couple years now, he finally got a job offer but damn.... the police officer wages really don&apos;t hold up against the increasing housing prices there. &nbsp;Even if you have equity in your current house. &nbsp;<br>Hope the situation will get a little better in the next months, we still want to move. &nbsp;❤ (There&apos;s no way I&apos;m raising our coming-soon kids in the desert here!)

  I moved to Nashville from living in Tampa for years to buy house in Knoxville but the market is god awful and that&apos;s understatement. I have been in bidding war with 10 offers in one day, then now I was under contract with house that has some big issues with electrical etc 1930s home. It truely is starved of inventory but I love this lifestyle here and I am not giving up.

  The problem with Knoxville is that it&apos;s boring. There is no effort or creativity put behind any events throughout this town.

  Today is &nbsp;9 July and the pollen started in May. My nose runs, I sneeze and cough every morning when I step out at 5:10 am reality. The pollen is horrible on me every morning. I believe out of the 17 allergies Tennessee has 16 of them... the no-see-ums love me and they leave welts on me every time they bite me.

  Thank you so much for the honestly!. This is the first vidio i&apos;ve seen that even mentioned the weather,bugs or ALLERGY&apos;S I imagine the humidity is also there also.. I live in the desert in eastern washington, I&apos;m allergic to &nbsp;sage (tumbleweeds) I hate it. &nbsp;Wife loves it. Wife agreed to mve after i threatend to leave. Was considering Knocksville area but now it&apos;s questionable.

  Eww thanks for the heads up on allergies. I&apos;m planning to leave my home because of the polluted air and allergies 🤧 I cannot go to another allergy place.
