It's refreshing to see actors actually eating their food during a scene rather than just playing with it. He's taking big bites too and continues to talk while chewing. The scene just feels natural.

Landa always goes in for the attack once he puts the person at full ease & comfort, here he offers her a cigarette and Shoshanna gives the tiniest of smiles thinking she's safe, then boom, straight in for the kill, and then right back to his polite demeanour. Pure evil

To me, The expression of horrific relief by Emanuele as Landa leaves, is alone worth an academy award

Incredible scene, Waltz's acting is so complex and smoothly drawn together into Landa. You never know which way he's leading you! Well worthy of the awards.

Hans is a man who has complete and utter control of every single conversation and room that he is in.

"A glass of milk" is Tarantino's brilliant way of letting us know that he knows (external communication with the audience) and of letting her know that he knows (internal communication with the character). All without saying something banal like "I know who you are." Just wonderful.
