  Am the only person that thinks resurfacing 4 lanes of motorway in six hours, overnight, for £40k, with everything that involves at short notice is pretty impressive?

  I'm sure the majority of people would prefer their bread being delayed rather than a death due to an unsafe vehicle.

  A few years ago, a truck driver killed a woman in our town. She was walking on a narrow sidewalk alongside the road, the driver was on his phone, dropped it, ducked under the wheel to get it, and those two seconds took a life. It's dangerous.

  That woman in the lorry who was complaining about being pulled over should be ashamed of herself. Yes transporting of goods is a requirement, but so is having a responsible vehicle. Telling people they should be grateful is ludicrous, when her vehicle is defective is astounding.

  the easiest way to deal with the lorry problem is regulate the employers not the employees. Its like arresting a drug taker but letting the drug dealer get away with it.

  That trucker complaining that they get treated like scum....no you don't. You get held to standards for your vehicle like anyone else. If you don't want to be fined, keep your vehicle in order. It really is that simple.

  At the scene of one accident in Germany, a firefighter kept people from filming out of their their cars simply by turning a firehose on the cars where people were filming. <br>In another instance, a police officer stopped some cars where drivers were filming, got the driver out and invited him to take a closer look, saying „There’s a dead body in there - wanna see? Come on, take a look!“ The vast majority of people were suddenly not that keen on filming anymore and preferred to leave the scene...but not without a fine and in some cases penalty points.

  this always gets to me in a way... a friend of mine was a fire fighter... he got killed when a car hit him when he was working at a traffic accident on a highway... all the way too many persons are ignorant to fire fighters working on highways...

  I come back to watch this periodically and remind myself never to get angry when there&apos;s motorway closures or the traffic is horrendous
