  FUN FACT ... The British Supermarine Stranraer flying boat, which first flew in 1934, was fitted with a toilet that was open to the air. When the lid was lifted in flight, airflow produced a whistling noise that led to the aircraft being nicknamed the &quot;Whistling Shithouse&quot;.... 🤣

  I believe that the only brief given to the experts Diane Morgan &apos;interviewed&apos; was to answer her questions like she was a small, inquisitive child. The fact that they all embraced it plus the genius of the writing &amp; Diane Morgan&apos;s wide-eyed innocence &amp; impeccable delivery makes it Comedy Gold.

  Crazy thing about early film, until about 1925, cameras were hand cranked and frame rates depended on how fast the cameraman cranked the camera...BUT, projectionists then had to also hand crank the film projectors to show them and often had cue sheets provided telling them how fast to wind the projector in each scene. Sometimes they would intentionally wind faster in action scenes and slower in dramatic ones...or wind faster all the time so there could be more viewings per day. 2 full turns per second was about 16 frames per second and films could be shot anywhere between 14 to 24 fps although the goal was to achieve 16 to 18fps...and then that had to be matched or interpreted by the projectionist...sometimes by eye if no cue sheet was available. That&apos;s part of the reason they look weird today played at a fixed steady rate of modern standard of 24 fps...they wouldn&apos;t necessarily have had quite as oddly fast movement when they were shown originally.
