  My favourite thing about the punisher MAX run is how calculated Frank is in this run. This issue kickstarted it, and later issues emphasise it in its receiving end horror, especially in the 1st issue. Great vid as always.

  I think to me the scariest part of the punhisher villans is that theyre not costumed villans galactic threats or dimensional villans theyre just degenarates people you see in real life

  I like the theory that it's actually not any entity speaking to frank at all, but rather the voice is just a manifestation of frank himself. It's great that ennis kept it ambiguous and never gave a definitive answer imo

  One of my favorite moments is when Stevie asks Frank why he drowned McDonald like that and Frank answers "I wanted to punish him."

  loved this story of origins the most; it made the Punisher story NOT into a John Wick revenge type. Like, no, this dude genuinely loves war, and he uses his family's death as an excuse to do his dream which is endless war, its so good.

  I got to read this recently and it was difficult to say the least. My father was a vet and the war has impacted so many generations since in our family. Despite the extreme mental capacity it took me to do so, I found it really illuminating and even comforting that my favourite comic universe was able to explore this through Frank. I appreciate your willingness to dive into these darker moments in comics without making fun of it. You're very genuinely passionate about these stories and it reminds me how much I love Marvel and how much value these stories have when we take the time to understand the writing. Thanks a bunch!

  Praying for a dive into the Slavers Arc from Max. Genuinely one of the most unflinching looks at the cruelty of man onto his fellow. Ennis never was able to top the shock factor of the end of that one issue.
