The 460 in terms of build quality and fit and finish is superior. Tons of cost cutting in the interior in the 550, no more wood. The 460 is a future classic.

I was all in and set on buying a 550, until I realized that a low mileage 460 can be had for about 60% of the 550’s price. The 550 is a head turner for sure. The 460 never even caught my eye until i began shopping off- road capable vehicles.

460 all day. It feels like it's built better, it was designed to operate in harsh markets where maintenance access is limited, it's known to run forever. The 460 is the one you buy if you want to actually use it and know it'll get you to the ends of the earth. The 550 is the one you get to flex in your office parking lot and don't mind that it feels cheaper and is less reliable.

a lot of people don't know this but, Toyota/Lexus grills were designed after samurai masks.

I had a 2022 460 and I agree with you in that it was heaven to drive. I do tow an Airstream and appreciate the additional tow capacity of the 550. When I got hit in a similar accident to yours, my 460 was totaled so I moved to the 550. Your comments on both I feel are completely accurate to my experience. I will say I miss my KDSS in my 460. That was my single favorite feature and I couldn’t afford the Overtrail.
