Great insights, Brock. It gives people who are willing to listen a lot to think about.

Yea I did the same thought process. I bought a compact tractor and auction midsized mini excavator. I didn't want to take a back hoe on and off. I also didn't want a really small excavator. I went with Ls tractor, still new along with a grapple. I wish id of bought a tiller also but I'll just get one this spring. I wasnt working with a 50 to 60k budget but I was able to get both of my machines for 30k and new condition. I might not have all the comforts of everything being enclosed but I am still happy with decisions to go the route I did. I do kind of wish id of bought a slightly better excavator now that I've put a bit of use on mine but this at the least got me going and fulfilled the need I had.

For the average guy who may not be interested in an excavator,You can buy a good used low hr tractor and a ton of implements to do most jobs around a hobby farm vs. one brand new high end tractor.Tractors have come so far that the South korean tractors are not really something to fear anymore. Its now about dealer networking and longevity of the dealership.

Howdy Brock! Yeah kinda scary how much we think a a lot alike sometimes... lol. As much as I would love to have a nice shiny new tractor I'm thinking the used market is where I will end up. Getting close to retirement age, so something I can pay cash for is really appealing. Nicely done and thanks for sharing 🤠

Brock I agree with you too many people just look at the new tractors and there are a lot of good deals out there and if you don’t know about used tractor, do you research once you locate a tractor locate a mechanic have them inspected before you buy. I bought a used tractor with a backhoe and Very happy that I did . Save a lots of money.

Brock - You hit the nail on the head. I’m into equipment and farm vehicles for about $75,000. Paying for a brand new Kubota or John Deere wasn’t even a thought. Here’s what we’re working with:

2024 Bad Boy 4035CH Compact Tractor

2024 Bad Boy Rogue 72” Mower

2025 AGT QNT30 Diesel Mini Excavator

2014 John Deere Gator 825i

1946 Willys CJ2A (It’s our summer parts getter 🤠)

2001 Chevy S10 4x4

Great video! Thanks for reminding the budget minded buyer to think this through and do comparisons to increase value and expected reality. These vids are a great confidence builder.

If someone isn't making money off of their equipment then they should really consider used. Thing there is you must be handy & be ready to fix issues that WILL pop up. I have 2 tractors, dozer, side by side, 4wheelers and lots of attachments. Friends think we inherited $ or are rich but truth is everything needed work from clutches to tires to axle parts. Fixed them myself. Over 20 years I have $ 38k invested but that's spending $5k here & there, $12k & $13k at other times but that's spread out over time. I can't imagine how much I've saved over the years doing that.

All good thoughts to consider when shopping. I’d suggest updating your logo. It’s been a few years since you ran the green paint.

Good morning Brock! Yeah people always gravitate towards what they know and admittedly a lot of us don’t know exactly all the options out there and make assumptions.
